Tray - Sugar Plum - Oval
This piece can be purchased. A custom piece can be ordered. 6-1/2" x 18-3/4" x 1-1/4"" deep oval tray made from 3/8" thick glass from Bullseye Glass Co. This piece is an adventure into strip construction with an ethereal quality, and has turned out to be one of Gerald's favorite pieces. All the strips were cut & placed in a pattern, fused into a sheet. It was then cut to the shape you see here. The edges were cold worked and polished. It was then kilnformed to a gentle curve. This oval tray would look awesome on a stand displayed as an art piece or can be used for a more functional purpose.
It is food safe but it is not recommended that you put in the microwave. Hand wash only.
