Tree Of Life & Celtic Cross Leather Journal Cover

A major symbol crossing nearly every culture on Earth, the Tree of Life is found throughout the ages. The tree was regarded as an ancient ancestor of mankind, and is a universal emblem of the macrocosm. The Tree is regarded as a natural symbol of the three domains, with branches that reach into the sky, its body in the earth, and roots reaching deep into the sacred streams below the earth.

"...the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations." (Revelation 22:1-2)

This is a vegetable dyed, full grain leather journal cover. I made this one special order for a customer to fit a standard Moleskine journal (not included - but can for additional $17.00). The cover measures 6x9 with a half inch allowed for the spine. I can custom make a design to your specifications, based on artwork and size of journal you like to use.

The sewn-in book mark is a hand carved and polished cedar heartwood button. All designs are hand tooled (not stamped or embossed) and I have colored using a combination of leather dyes and acrylics. Saddle stitching borders the entire journal. I then sealed and conditioned with beeswax.

**** This cover can be personalized with names, events or dates - or both - at no extra cost. Have a wedding approaching? One of my customers is using this as her wedding book - thanks Kate!)

Dimensions: Custom to fit your favorite journal blanks.
