This is in many ways a very simple design with lots of detail. The mounting system allows the sconce to be adjusted so it will sit plumb on the uneven log home surface. The mica shades add warmth and keep the lights from glaring. The applied twisted elements and incised detail add a lot of richness of detail without getting frilly.
