The triquetra is an ancient Celtic symbol from around the 2nd century. It blends the pagan symbols of life unending with the Roman Catholic trinity symbol. This model is an original relief I designed, based on a popular drawing of this triquetra and stars arrangement. It is rich with layered shape and texture, and the amber/green glass panel set in the back compliments the warm tones of the alder wood. It can be displayed on a wall or hung in a window to let the light set it off. Shipped with a white backing that is easily removed for window placement.
This piece is machine carved in alder, hand sanded and finished with a natural oil/wax combination, and is just shy of 15" in diameter.
