Ugly Mug Cafe

Coffee Shop in Chicago's Noble Square neighborhood made almost entirely from upcycled, 2nd-hand materials including: Chicago Public School kids desks for the countertops, and bookshelf backs for the paneling, a piece of 1/4 broken glass found in the alley behind the cafe which serves as the top of the pastry case, weathered cedar fencing from the neighborhood...

Dilettante was responsible for designing and building the back bar and the service counter. The cafe is up and running and doing well, and has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, and Househunters.
