Uld Bookcase

Inspired by a vintage airline ULD (Unit Load Device), one of those big metal boxes that all the luggage is piled into. This particular ULD was of the golden age of air travel with wooden trim more akin to steamer trunks of the 1920s'. This bookcase is made of steel with streaked pewter patina and recycled redwood decking. All hardware has patina to match the main body and is reminiscent of riveting used in air frame skin assembly.
