Unusual Shelving Unit
My client wanted a small, multi-tiered shelf based on what I'm told is the Chinese symbol for Dragon. It had to be light and airy with hidden brackets from which to hang. I milled the front faces out of 1/2 Baltic birch plywood, along with the rest of the pieces to create the shelf unit on the bottom and also the single shelves of the top 2 parts. We decided on a bold orange dye with several layers of gloss acrylic sealer as a finish.
