Venetian Jazz Archtop Guitar

The Venetian cutaway archtop guitar has curly European maple back and sides, a curly maple neck and a European spruce soundboard with some nice bear claw figure. Both the top and the back are solid wood and hand carved. It has a 17" lower bout and the sides are 3". The accent wood is African blackwood and the inlays are black mother of pearl and gold mother of pearl block markers. This guitar has Gotoh gold tuning machines with Keystone buttons. The scale length is 25". It has a two way truss rod. It has parallel bracing for a more traditional construction and greater projection. This guitar now has a hand made Kent Armstrong suspended pickup on it, the sound quality is amazing. The pickup attaches to the finger rest and does not touch the soundboard. A volume control is tucked under the finger rest to keep it handy and discreet. Also the bridge is designed more like a violin bridge to give the best quality acoustic sound by eliminating the metal thumb-wheels. Instead the bone saddle can be adjusted for the proper string height. My guitars use lacquer finish, this guitar also has an amber shellac sealer coat to give that golden tone.
