This turn-of-the-century settee was completely rebuilt as part of a total restoration. Only the applique carvings, front and back legs were reused. A unique feature is the adjustable "ratcheting" arms from vertical to horizontal. There was no saving the original framework so each piece was reproduced using the original as a pattern then restuffed and reupholstered using old pictures as a guide. The back is also removable for an alternative look.
