Vintage 1940s Wedding Dress Silk Crepe And Chantilly Lace Tea Length Bridal Gown

This is a beautiful and rare dress from the late 30s, maybe early 40s. It came to me with a vintage net veil that looks to be from the 20s, so perhaps the veil was the mother of the bride's.
THE GOWN
The dress has a round neckline with tightly gathered and crinkle-pleat pressed fine Chantilly lace. Then a V-neck cut neckline overlay of heavy silk crepe (at least 25momme-NICE!). The silk crepe has no holes or pin marks, and offers quite a bit of stretch so that this dress can vit a variety of shapes! The bodice is ruched down the length of the torso until the skirt begins at the waist seam. So flattering! The sleeves are a single layer of the fine Chantilly lace, no rips at all, the lace is still very supple! There is a small metal snap at each wrist securing the fitted sleeves, which end in a point over the back of your hand. The skirt begins with an A line cut of silk crepe as a lining, then a silk crepe overlay at the top which is circle cut so that it flares out over the hips. About 6" below the waistline, the silk crepe is cut in deep "V"s and from there a circle cut layer of the Chantilly lace extends down to the hem. All the lace is in absolutely new condition, very supple with no breaks anywhere and no stains whatsoever! The dress zips up the side with its original dainty metal zipper which is hidden by a flap of silk crepe sewn over the zipper. There is the tiniest bit of discoloration on the bodice, but I'm quite confident t will come out with a gentle stain remover, which I have not attempted. It really isn't noticeable unless you look for it, and it didn't show up in the photographs.

THE VEIL
The veil features hand embroidery of hearts and vines, and the top secures to your head with an elastic bonnet style hat which is decorated with lace and blue silk ribbon. The edges of the veil are folded over and sewn down with a waving embroidery of silk fine yarn. Either bottom corner of the veil features a large heart with vines around it. There are two spots where there are breaks in the waving border, which I have secured to prevent any unravelling. The netting itself has a few small holes I've mended, and are not at all noticeable when wearing. Considering the condition most 20s veils come to me in, this one is practically perfect, the netting is still soft and supple, not brittle at all! I even was able to iron it on low heat without incident.
