Vintage 1960s Wedding Dress Is Silk Chiffon Satin And Lace By William Cahill Designer S Xs

A stunning designer gown in mint condition, by couture wedding dress designer William Cahill. The dress is made of a light silk satin in cream with a ivory silk chiffon overlay on the bodice, that is cut just a few inches short of the neckline, exposing the silk satin from beneath, where the transition is covered by gorgeous floral venise lace trim! Small pieces of the lace also decorate the satin border, and all the way around the inner neckline. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulder so they are wide open down the length of your arm until they zip closed towards the wrist and the cuffs are intricately decorated in satin and the same floral venise lace. The sleeves are sheer silk chiffon with the exception of a stripe of silk satin and lace going down the side. The waist is fairly high cut with a silk chiffon overlay which is cut a line in front so as not to add any volume to the waist or hips, but plenty of flare at the hem. The back of the dress features a modest train of silk chiffon which is gathered tightly in the back and pressed flat to be figure hugging, but from there, the train flares out with tons of gorgeous silk chiffon floating down. The train extends only about 10 inches past the regular hem length of the skirt, so you can walk around comfortably.
The dress zips up the back and fasten with metal hook and eye closures at the top, the waist, and mid way down the back to keep the zipper hidden. The sleeve cuffs also zip up! The dress is in perfect condition with no noted flaws.
