Walking Stick/Cane, A Good Time To Call
This walking Stick features an antique bronze toad sitting on a lily blossom. I imported the handle from England. It is believed to have been manufactured in the late 1800s or early 1900s. On the solid oak shaft I have hand-carve a quote from The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
"It's never the wrong time to call on Toad.
Early or late he's always the same fellow.
Always good-tempered, always glad to see you, always sorry when you go!"
I have always hoped that I was perceived this way. I love it when friends drop in. This is a great stick for anyone who loves visiting with friends.
