Walnut And Bird's-Eye Maple Office Desk

This desk is inspired by the Wooton office desk that was built in the 1870's. The idea was that it would house your whole personal office in one cabinet and, at the end of the day, you could close the doors and lock them. This piece features 24 cubby holes and 24 drawers. That's a lot of storage and organizational power.
I call this 'the sheriffs desk' because of the inlayed stars on the desk lid and gallery. The stars and the drawer fronts are solid bird's-eye maple and the case is solid walnut. The cubbys in the center section and upper doors are tall enough to hold large books and folders. The whole desk sits on brass casters for easy moving.
