This stout walnut coffee table with live edges is made out of a 2 1/8" thick slab of black walnut and two U-Shape Bases made out of 2" steel. This piece would be great as a coffee table or bench. The wooden top has been planed flat, sanded smooth and finished in an oil and satin poly combo. Paired with the clear coated steel u-shape bases in an industrial finish, this piece has a versatile appeal and could fit into numerous decor settings; modern, rustic, industrial, mid century, traditional, etc. It's got a really rich dark brown and chocolate color that contrasts nicely with the cream colored sapwood. The top is a natural edge slab and has minor drying checks (cracks-but not deep enough to warrant bowties or further expansion), bug holes, etc. All wood used has been kiln cured and therefore it is as stable as possible and free of insects. All in all, it's a strong and naturally beautiful piece that is ready to ship!
