This table went through several incarnations in the design process before reaching its present form. I'm attracted to the angles and the simple cradle-like form. My father was a wooden boat builder and I suspect parts of this table recall the distilled beginnings of a traditional boat with molds and frames attached to the keel. The feet are sculpted and the stretcher pegged in between. The two pairs of reverse tapered legs hold solid walnut panels captured between them at each end.
