This project was an amazing piece. I wanted to design something "differant". the legs have a slight taper and are made of hard maple. And the top has amazing character. The top was glued up book matched to make the grain flow nicely through out the top, with two butterfly joints to hold old moisture cracks together. Deciding to make less legs and more top really fit this piece well.
