Funky Walnut Slab Hall Table

I found the Walnut slab top stacked beneath a Cypress tree along Highway 1 on the north coast of California. The owner, a very old man named Jack Frost, practically gave it to me. The ebony spline is shaped like the head of a Japanese hammer (my friend Wade Childress' idea). The table serves as a pedestal for floral arrangements at the entrance of a house, and the small drawers beneath provide a place to drop keys and wallet when returning home.
