Cuff links in the original shape of a clam shell. I have used native wampum shells from Waquoit Bay in Falmouth (also called quahog here in Cape Cod) . Wampun was used as currency by Native American and cherished by its attractive purple color rim. I hand cut the shell in the same shape as the original clam, then set it in sterling silver. Mechanism is double hinged in the back, for easy slip on onto buttonholes. Purple and white pattern will vary within the same pair of cufflinks as shown. Also showing is actual shell where they were cut from. Nautical style.
