The wood for this piece was hand selected for the beauty of its grain, stability of its structure and purity of its color. No stains or dyes were used in the making of the piece and all colors shown are the natural colors of the wood.

The wave is constructed of hand selected Birdseye Maple whose grain seems to dance in the light. The 5/8" thick panel measures 24" wide by 18" tall and is made of solid quarter sawn African Padauk, which has a deep rich red color. The panel is reinforced by two African padauk backer strips which also function as the mounting system for the piece. When mounted, via a simple cleat system, the panel is spaced approximately 3/4" inch from the wall and appears to be floating.
