#123 When I first saw this figured bubinga in board form it struck me as an aerial view of ocean waves, so we went with it. The top is 24 inches at the widest point and the table stands 24 inches tall. The turquoise inlay on the top and legs catches the eye as would an exotic fish swimming in tropical waters. The cherry midsection softens the dramatic figures as it descends to the glass shelf. I used glass as not to hide the transition from cherry to quilted maple into the base and legs and to keep the sense of oceanic movement all the way to the floor. Signed and numbered.
