This was one of those projects we got WAY too excited about, and came up with all sorts of awesome ideas for. Our favorite part is that we hunted around for an old book of botanical illustrations, out of which we tore individual pages and die cut them for the envelope liners. Each one was different. Love it! Danielle and John were looking for a very ornate, vintage style apothecary design complete with multiple fonts, flourished lettering and detailed design work. The grey and marigold letterpress printed invitation was affixed to a kraft colored backer, stacked with the RSVP, and bound with natural twine and a monogrammed button and tea stained hang tag. Botanical lined slate inner envelopes and delicious kraft outer envelopes. Of course, we used thick 100% recycled cotton paper and 100% vegetable based inks. Every letterpress printed piece is brought to life one at a time, hand fed through an antique printing press that creates a deep textural impression, and crafted with artistic attention to detail.
