White Oak Replica Of Antique Clock Shelf

We are often contracted to replicate an antique piece for antique collectors. This pattern came from an antique clock shelf. The person we created this piece for collects antique clocks. He has so many they line the baseboards of his house. He wanted to have shelving created for them so that he could hang them, but he wanted the style to be of the same period from which the clocks came. We were originally commissioned to produce 4 of this particular style and one each of two additional styles all out of Black Walnut. This piece was made out of some scrap raw white oak that we had in the shop. It's original intention is to shelf antique clocks. It could be used for any number of reasons today. As a solid oak piece with all of the scroll saw work, and mirror inlay,it is an heirloom quality piece that would enhance the beauty of any wall. (The hanging string used to photograph the piece is not included, nor is it necessary. Hangers were attached so that it could hang on 16" studs. These can be removed for custom hanging however.)

Dimensions: The piece is 24 1/2" wide, 9" high, and 7 3/4" deep.
