Windsor Candlestand

This Windsor style candlestand is based on a circa 1820 design from Chester County Pennsylvania. It includes a lathe turned dished top with a raised edge. The top is secured to the legs with visible wedges. Everything is turned by hand on a lathe including the double baluster of the long tapered leg. The height of the stand would have brought candlelight eye level to a seated reader. The stands are shown in tiger maple and tiger red oak.

I have been featured in Early American Life's Directory of Traditional American Crafts since 2010 for my hand-made Windsors. Each piece is custom made-to-order, please allow 6-8 weeks. The price is for local pick up only. I can help you arrange shipping, I offer standard crating and white glove delivery (pricing will vary).
