Wooden Bowls

When I'm out driving in the back woods somewhere and notice that someone has pulled a stump out, or is cutting down a really bushy or knotted tree, I offer to help. I want that wood.
I really love the complex grain and shapes you end up finding as you carefully shape and form vessels from odd and difficult pieces of wood. The majority of vessels I create are from stumps and root balls of local trees in the area, they take a great deal of effort to remove, and then usually take two years or more to fully dry to where they can be turned into a bowl or other vessel.
