Wrought Iron Coffee Table
My client came to me with this great antique Chinese wash basin they scored in a local antique store. He wanted to use it as the centerpiece for a coffee table and so needed a metal stand that would elegantly support the glass and basin without distracting from the simple beauty of the basin. After making templates, the steel was hand-rolled to match the curve of the basin. Then it was cut, welded together, meticulously cleaned in preparation for the special natural wax polish. The top is 3/8" tempered with a rounded pencil polish.
