Yeats' Poem Plate

This plate combines the lines of W.B. Yeats' beautiful poem "The Song of the Wandering Aengus" with a image in the background painted with powered glass. I used this poem because its final line, "the silver apples of the moon, the golden apples of the sun," haunt me. I tried to recreate an image from the poem of a brightening day in the background and framed it with green and brown.
