"The zebra rug is where the inspiration came from!" explained Kerri Hatter, who provided the overall design concept for this shoot. Her goal was to create an edgy yet classic feel for a playful couple who might be looking for a different type of decor. Something that would be perfect to transform a private estate space, as it's typically a blank canvas, something that would be perfect for any time of year, and something that would last past the wedding day.
Kerri chose bright yellow to make the zebra black & white pop even more. The florals, desserts and paper goods also took direction from the zebra theme, color, texture & shape inspiration. She partnered with artist, Bethany Thomas, who makes memories into art and brings art to life. Her textured ceremony backdrops and custom artwork throughout the shoot wove the zebra theme, the decor aspects (ex- chandelier), and the bold tagline "Love Your Mine" (short for I love that you are mine) together. Bethany's goal is to "give couples a lasting way to remember their wedding day through fine art that is personal to them. It will last a lifetime and leave a legacy for their families they will enjoy for generations." Since the unique artwork is a graphic representation of a couple's special day, they can also use the art as home decor after the wedding or event.
