Zia Sun Symbol - Southwest Stained Glass
The southwest stained glass artwork is currently for sale.
The landscape in the center of this artwork is constructed with the copper foil method. The rest of the design is constructed with lead came. This is because the non-geometric landscape looks better when done with copper foil and the geometric zia sun and border design look better when done with lead came.
All lead, solder, and solder-covered copper have been darkened to a charcoal gray with a chemical patina.
This hanging artwork is mounted in an oak frame, which looks black here but actually has a clearly visible wood grain with a medium stain.
The size of this artwork is 27", including the wood frame.
