This article is part of our What's Your Inspiration series, where we explore the personal touches and sources of inspiration our customers bring to their engagement rings.

Where there’s dragons, there’s treasure

In the famous words of Daenerys Targaryen, “Where are my dragons!?” Well, Daenerys, they’re right here. From fearsome beasts like Viserion from Game of Thrones to cuties like Mushu from Mulan, these powerful, mythical creatures have captured many imaginations. Whether you want to wear a dragon to feel powerful, inspire courage in yourself, or just add some cool-factor to your life, we hope you’ll admire and be inspired by our lineup of dragon-themed engagement rings.

Like staring into a whirlpool, the Celtic knots in this ring’s shoulders swirl into an entrancing aquamarine center stone. And watch out for that serpentine dragon as it slithers around the ring’s band, guarding its queen’s treasure. Our bride-to-be, Brianna, loves dragons and Celtic knots, so we combined them in her engagement ring. Celtic dragons were believed to be symbols of not just wisdom, but also fertility. Not a bad talisman to have on your finger, don’t you think?

This one’s a fantasy fandom-lover’s ring with references to Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Unmistakable deathly hallows inspired symbols jut out from the dragon-clasped blood red center stone in ruby, which happens to be Brock’s partner’s birthstone. Plus, this Lannister-colored ring contains a Tyrion quote etched into the dragon-winged band: “A mind needs a book as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge.” Indubitably!

No, it’s not shaped like a lug nut, (but if that’s your thing we don’t judge!) but this men’s engagement ring pays tribute to Ben’s heritage and Norse religious beliefs. Olivia wanted those familiar interlacing Celtic knots on Ben’s band, chaining the two Norse dragon heads. Look closely and you’ll even notice the dragons giving the black onyx center stone a good lick! Who says you can’t have a little fun designing your man’s ring?

4

Can you guess why this engagement ring is so unusual? That’s right, there’s no center stone! There are little accent gems, though: emerald and amethyst, sitting in the two stately dragons’ piercing eyes. Trace down their backs, into the cradle of the ring, and you’ll discover what looks like an ancient inscription: “Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum.” Turns out, it’s Mandalorian and is just a Star Wars fan’s way to say, “I love you.”

5

Unlike the last one, this ring’s dragon is hidden. Courtney’s engagement ring is a dazzling light show with diamond accents sparkling in a halo around the moissanite center. The sparkle continues halfway down the ring’s yellow gold band, but, flip the ring on its side and there it is: a cute little Welsh dragon, a touching memento of David and Courtney’s long-distance relationship when Courtney was in Wales for ten months.

6

Beware! Here be dragons. Michael requested dragons and a subtle Lord of the Rings inspired symbol. So, our designers put their artistry on full display! Two statuesque European style dragons crawl up the sides of this ring and stretch out their wings, as if bowing to the deep blue jewel at center. Between dragon and jewel, an Evenstar-inspired symbols sits in the ring’s shoulder, paying homage to Arwen’s eternal love and commitment to her lover, Aragorn.

7

Looking for something bold? Look no further. Scott’s fiancé, Amanda, is one-of-a-kind, so he wanted that reflected in her dragon-inspired ring. On either side of the trillion-cut diamond center stone, tanzanite and alexandrite accents hover like mysterious orbs in the mouths of the golden dragons snaking around the band. These dragons seem to have found their treasures, just as our bride and groom found theirs: each other!
