Pear cut center stone engagement ring designs

A few of our favorite engagement rings with pear cut center stones

Updated September 15, 2022

Pear cut, pear shaped, or teardrop — whatever you call it, this fancy shape is undeniably spectacular! The fancy cut has been around for over 500 years and has been a favorite through every style era. The teardrop shape can do it all, making a statement as a proud solitaire or pairing perfectly with a halo or accent stones. It can be set north-south, east-west, and even on an angle to add a touch of modern whimsy. Take a look at some of the engagement rings our couples have envisioned that feature a pear cut stone.

1

You might want to grab your shades before peeping this pear cut diamond engagement ring! Sparkle is absolutely the name of the game here, with the sparkly lab-created diamond center stone set in rose gold with a diamond pavé band. But our first loved-up couple didn’t stop there — he knew she was a fan of a hidden halo. Turn this ring on its side to find a shimmering diamond halo around the profile of the pear cut center stone!

2

Our next engagement ring is all about hiking, peaks, and love that you shout about from the mountain tops! Our next couple was after something simple with subtle personalizations to tell their love story. Their shared love of hiking is celebrated in their choice of a stunning green pear cut peridot and the mountain range engraved inside the white gold band. We love how the tapered points of the band mimic the shape of the center stone where they meet the white topaz side stones.

3

Our next bride-to-be wanted her engagement ring to feature a bold cluster of stones but still appear dainty and elegant. A pear cut center stone was the perfect choice, with the combination of sharp point and soft curve setting the stage for a stunning ring. We set the lavender amethyst center stone high above the finger in a breath-taking cathedral setting to accentuate its brilliance. Diamond accent clusters adorn the shoulders wrapped in a graceful twist that flows down to the dainty band.

4

This soon-to-be groom wanted to put a “beautiful and unique” spin on the traditional halo engagement ring. We love his choice of this pear cut salt and pepper diamond center stone! Wrapped in a diamond halo with a twisted white gold band, this engagement ring strikes the perfect balance between bold distinction and elegance.

5

A sunshine-yellow pear cut citrine sits at the center of this bridal set. The engagement ring’s pear cut center stone sits in a starburst of marquise cut diamonds set in yellow gold prongs on a white gold band — with even more diamonds! The sunny warmth of the citrine is reflected in a yellow gold sunflower (the bride’s favorite) on an elaborate diamond and white gold floral wedding band. We love the peekaboo and engraved personalizations that celebrate the couple’s meeting place and special song.

6

Our next pear cut engagement ring is the sweetest thing! The bride- and groom-to-be call each other Honey Pot and Pooh Bear (how cute is that!) so it only made sense to add a peekaboo honey jar on the ring’s gallery. Above sits a pear cut white opal center stone swept up in a wide tapered yellow gold band with swirling waves and diamond accents.

7

Our final future husband came to us with a vision — he wasn’t even sure it would be possible in real life but love (and our designers) conquered all! This dreamy toi et moi engagement ring features two pear shaped stones — moissanite and aquamarine — set together to create a heart. We completed the shape with a moissanite accent stone and set the “two become one” two-tone heart on a simple white gold band.
