Rose cut center stone engagement ring designs

A few of our favorite engagement rings featuring rose cut center stones

Updated November 8, 2022

Imagine a time before electricity, when diamonds were cut by hand and admired by the subtle light of a candle. This is the intimate setting that brought us the enchanting rose cut, which is riding a new found wave of popularity. The vintage beauty of the rose cut gem is a glassy, glowing shine that feels warm and inviting, so light a candle and take a closer look at some of our favorite rose cut center stone engagement rings.

“She doesn’t have to be perfect, she is loved exactly as she is.” Please excuse our tearing up, someone around here is cutting onions! Our first husband-to-be asked us for a “flawed” diamond to remind his fiancé that he loves her, flaws and all. We found him a lustrous rose cut salt and pepper diamond to take center stage in this engagement ring. Purple sapphire and aquamarine side stones and a twisted yellow gold band complete this meaningful ring.

Zachary knew Jenna loved rose cut gems, so he chose a stunning rose cut diamond for her engagement ring. The grand, glassy stone is surrounded by a shimmering halo of diamonds that continue through to the twisting white gold band, giving us stunning vintage vibes.

Our next couple came to us with this dreamy rose cut diamond and we couldn’t wait to turn it into the perfect vintage inspired engagement ring. We framed the antique diamond with a delicately curling white gold and diamond halo, adding sparkle but not pulling attention from the glassy center stone. Subtle milgrain detailing around the center diamond adds to the years-gone-by feel of this future heirloom ring.

Our next couple had their hearts set on a rose cut diamond sitting on a dainty band, and it’s not hard to see why! We love the way this simply set rose cut diamond invites you to look closer, drawing you in with its warm glow. The subtle split-shank white gold band gently twists around the finger, and we added a little sparkle with diamond accents trailing down the shoulders.

This rose cut engagement throws the blueprint for diamond solitaires out the window. And we are all onboard! The rose cut salt and pepper diamond at the center of this ring makes a unique statement in a dramatic cathedral setting. The sides of the gallery are embellished with a peekaboo rose on one side and a phoenix on the other. The pavé band has a life of its own, sparkling with white diamond accents and curving gently as it makes its way around the finger.

6

Oof! We love the combination of this ethereal rose cut moonstone with its pear shaped aquamarine side stones! The glassy blue-white center stone almost looks like a celestial mirror reflecting the blue of the sea and sky, as well as the aquamarine stones at its side. The three stones are set in blazing yellow gold bezels, and moissanite accents create a dazzling crown on the matching wedding band.

7

Our next couple wanted a rose cut center stone because they give off more of a glow and less sparkle than other cuts. They opted for a classy, glassy rose cut moissanite center stone paired with a simple yellow gold band. To add a little something extra, we created a hidden halo of moissanites.

8

Our final rose cut engagement ring feels like it traveled in from another time and galaxy. The night-sky colors paired with the dome shaped rose cut of the salt and pepper diamond give us “ancient relic from an unknown universe” vibes and we love it! The mixed texture of the dramatically tapered white gold band adds to the mystical feel of the ring, with shining, swirling engravings twisting their way down the shoulders.
