You put the joy in joystick

So, you’ve found the one who makes you feel like the hero in your video game. If you’re the type who loves to game with your boo until 5am, check out this list of creative engagement rings that our video game-loving couples have come up with. From Overwatch to Pokémon to World of Warcraft and more, our creative couples found fun ways to add a bit of video game magic to their own Player Two’s rings.

1

This bride-to-be might go AFK in her next gaming session admiring all the Overwatch inspired details in her engagement ring! Like the character D.Va, the ring itself is suited for action with pilot suit detailing and on-color accent stones on the shoulders. In the gallery, perky bunny ears pop up and support the center stone, an homage to D.Va’s bunny logo. Finally, flip the ring upside down to find the hidden Overwatch-inspired logo under the center setting. “Nothing gets past me!” Us neither, D.Va.

Our groom-to-be, Reece, was inspired by the ultimate pokéball to design a ring for his ultimate catch: his future bride. This Pokémon inspired engagement ring catches the light with its sweeping feminine white gold band and a spray of cluster-set pink sapphires and purple amethysts in the shape and color of the Master Ball. You should know, this ring doesn’t just catch the light, it catches second glances too.

This atmospheric engagement ring makes us feel like part of a clandestine organization. Two light-trapping black diamond accents flank the blood red garnet Mozambique center stone. Next to the Assassin’s Creed logo inspired center setting, our designers snuck details resembling the signature weapon of the Assassin Brotherhood, two hidden blades. Present it to the right people and it might just open doors closed to most others.

This engagement ring is sure to get some WoWs! Like the legendary weapon of Deanna’s favorite World of Warcraft character, the sweeping lines in the ring’s band are forged to resemble Illidan Stormrage’s warglaives. And in the heart, beside the color shifting blue and reddish-purple alexandrite center stone, two floating moonstones represent Tyrande Whisperwind. In WoW lore, Illidan is guided by his love for Tyrande, willing to go to the end of the world for her. What a touching memento for our soon-to-be spouses!

Commander’s log: Today, I popped the question and she said yes! From the back, this engagement ring’s band resembles the Normandy SR-2 spaceship, zooming into the accent stones in orange and black — the color scheme from Mass Effect, our bride-to-be’s beloved video game. From the top, the diamond center stone is locked in as airtight as an N7 helmet. The side detailing even reads “N7”, making her part of that elite group and proving she completed training at the Interplanetary Combatives Academy. Hoorah!

Boy, if looks could kill. After all, those deceivingly lovely curves in the engagement ring’s band betray a deadly secret: they’re inspired by the bolster of the Blade of Woe from Skyrim. And those accent stones arranged like a row of pretty flowers? They mirror the dainty but deadly nightshades in the wedding ring. Yup, this bridal set is fit for a femme fatale.

7

Break out your ocarina, we’re going back in time with this engagement ring. If you’ve played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on your N64, you’ll instantly recognize the Zora’s Sapphire inspired details outlining the marquise cut center sapphire in a blue as deep as the love between our couple. After all, just as this beloved game pulled our groom-to-be through tough times as a kid, his partner got him through tough times as an adult.

We adore the vintage look of this avian inspired engagement ring. In the center setting, a lone bird sings to the white opal moon above. And wrapped around like a protective sheath, the band resembles battle-worn Nightingale Armor from Skyrim. We’re entranced by the way the textured white gold background plays off the polished foreground of this ring, adding depth and character, like the time-tested love of a longtime couple.
