The ring in the photo is American size 7 and weighs 7.7 grams. It is 6.5 mm wide and the top is 4.5 mm high. The ring is solid gold … and is not hollowed out on the inside.

A ring of this design can be made in any size. It can be 18K yellow or white gold, or 9K rose gold. Each time I make a ring like this I make an original wax model. This means that no two rings will be exactly the same. The final price of a custom made ring would depend on the type of metal used and the weight, which depends on the size - the larger the size the heavier the ring. I would be happy to re-cycle your old gold of whatever carat content.

Let me tell you how this works. To make new jewelry I need to start with pure 24K gold and then alloy it to the desired carat content (18K or 9K) with the alloy that will give me the desired color - yellow, white or rose gold. When clients bring in their old gold, according to the carat value I calculate how much pure gold is present. There is a 20% loss in the cleaning and refining process which is subtracted from the gold's weight at this point. And then we know how much pure gold is available for the new jewelry. So I really don't care if your old jewelry has stones on it, is of different carat values or what color it is as I will refine it to make something new.
