Fused Glass Sculpture - Basta! Series

"Basta!" was inspired by a disaster. After my glass bins collapsed, I was left with a pile of glass shards. These became the table sculpture "Basta!" It opened up a lot of possiblilties for incorporating different styles of glass, layering them and twisting them to create these playful strands of glass. They are mounted in groups of three onto copper tubes with copper coils. The structures are then set into travertine tiles on a wood base. The ensemble is then framed in mahogany.
