    A customer needed four (4) Newel Posts made to specifications of the original posts from an 18th … Century townhouse being renovated in Arlington Va. The original post was solid mahogany and since mahogany of that size is not available or affordable today the architect changed the staircase to white painted posts with mahogany buttons and rails. The posts were recreated from poplar and the buttons from African Mahogany. Here is a slide show of the work on a replica of the original post. Read more

    Even though I was not certain as to what I wanted from Mike, he showed me the options and guided me through the woodworking process. Mike sent me pictures of the project's progress, was very communicative, finished on time, and shipped the final product securely. The final outcome exceeded my expectations and made my friends (recipients of Mike's work) very happy. I would work with Mike again and recommend him to friends.
