There is no limit to how you can express yourself! We try to capture the picture in our customer's head and transfer it to a beautiful piece of wood.

I create custom wood burned wall hangings (all subjects), Animal Spirit Totem Plaques, Feng Shui wood burned hangings, and custom created wood garden benches. All art subjects are welcomed.

Celtic Art & Otherworld Surprises would like to welcome our newest artisan David Oberman of Oregon. David is a successful wood worker with more than 30+ years experience in creating wood pieces & furniture that can be passed down for generations to come. His eye for detail and capturing the wood's distinct characteristics is awe inspiring. David has stated that his tables are so sturdy that an earthquake cannot shake them. With the painstaking time that David takes to ensure such stability in his furniture and other creations it makes every penny worth it. To own a piece created by David Oberman is to own a one of a kind masterpiece. Look for more photos of David's work to come very soon in the future.

I am also currently expanding out into custom wood burned art wood paneling. This gives that old wood paneling a completely new and updated look that represents you.

Each piece is carefully detailed and made by hand from beginning to the end with no two customer's orders being exactly the same. Lasers are never used to burn or etch my pieces all of it is done by hand. Whether it is a quality wood burned wall hanging or a portrait of that favorite relative or pet; each piece is made to reflect the love and care of the customer.

I am a local Phoenix area fantasy & reality artist who has done commissions for customers in the States and abroad; with many artwork pieces in private collections.

My main medium (love) is pyrographics (wood burning) and wood working. All artwork is original and I spend hours upon hours for each piece, ensuring the most detail possible. I have an eye for detail & color, which I work hard to ensure that all of those details are accurately expressed in my artwork.

I do not transfer my artwork to a piece of wood until the customer is completely satisfied with the piece. Keeping the customer in the loop for all stages of the work helps to ensure that the customer receives a piece exactly (or even better than) they expected. Communication and customer service is the key and I strive to make buying a custom piece from me as enjoyable and worry-free as possible.

I work with Pine, Agathis or other veneered plywood, as well as any other softer woods I can get my hands on. I have found that the veneered plywood works best with a very clean and even burn. It is also of a lighter weight and comes in much larger pieces with several types to choose from. The veneer has beautiful grains, which help to accent the artwork. This is not cheap wood and is very durable. Most of these veneered plywoods are used for furniture and cabinets. These would also make beautiful and very large wood burned art panels for your walls. I also use different stains to accent and complete the piece. I have found that stains really do help make the piece explode.
