The drawer fronts and end panels of this chest are California walnut, the end frames and the horizontal dividers are Indiana cherry. Drawer sides and backs are maple, dovetailed at all four corners, and the drawer bottoms are aromatic cedar. The back of the chest is shaped and finished just … like the front, including the recessed drawer pulls. The end frames are through mortised and wedged, and the rails are through dovetailed front and back. There are side guides and top and bottom runners of solid maple for the drawers. The end panels are made from a resawn and book matched plank. The finish is polyurethane varnish.
