This piece is part of a series that I created for Fall 2011. The sizes are larger, the pieces are a bit more colorful and most importantly, where appropriate, I am including inspirational phrases and quotations. This helps the pieces to have more of a presence and be a more inspirational part of … your life. We all need constant reminders! I have always been drawn to the eight aspects of God. They so succinctly offer both inspiration and direction for our spiritual efforts. The combination in this piece of the aspects with a garland of philodendron leaves suggests the constant interplay of nature and spirit that animates all our lives. They are specifically colored to match the chakras. All are laser engraved on a base of warm African Mahogany. The piece is mounted on a base of white, honeycombed and polished marble. The marble slab has been chiseled to a shape that complements and balances the rectangularity of the mahogany.
