Trillion cut center stone engagement ring designs

Our favorite engagement rings with trillion cut center stones

Updated October 3, 2022

As the saying goes: “Good things come in threes.” When it comes to the bold geometry, outstanding brilliance, and distinct uniqueness of the three-sided trillion cut, we’d have to agree! A trillion cut stone is the perfect choice for an unconventional and striking engagement ring. Let’s take a look at some of the designs our couples came up with using trillion cut stones.

1

Our first trillion cut engagement ring is all about natural curves and softened points, with the shape of the center stone echoed and twisted through the band of the ring. The dreamy color of the aquamarine center stone is paired with diamond accents on each side. The shoulders of the band are engraved with a Celtic knot design, creating a sense of movement and life.

We love to see creativity inspired by unique stone choices, and our next trillion cut engagement ring is the perfect example. This couple took their three-sided stone, put a twist on it, and then twisted some more! The tanzanite center stone appears to sit slightly off kilter, with one corner pointing horizontally down the band of the ring rather than vertically down the finger. Two white sapphire accents sit on the shoulders of the asymmetrical rose gold band — one shoulder tapers gently while the other twists itself into a tight coil.

As we’ve said, trillion cut stones are fantastic for the non-traditional bride. Our next fiancé-to-be is a fan of Legend of Zelda, so a trillion cut engagement ring was the only way to go. Three London blue topazes are set in platinum to recreate the Triforce of Power, Wisdom, and Courage. The band of the ring also sports claw marks and frightening symbols as a nod to her love of horror films. This ring is not for the faint of heart!

4

A diamond solitaire bridal set, but make it extraordinary! This trillion cut diamond is delicately set in a simple rose gold band that comes to a point at the top of the triangle center stone. But that’s not all, as this engagement ring holds a couple of sweet secrets — ruby and sapphire accents hide inside the band, representing the birthstones of the couples’ two children.

5

Our next couple wanted to blend the things they each love to create their engagement ring, and the result is this green goddess beauty! The striking green tourmaline center stone was chosen to represent Nikki’s favorite color and the petal setting fulfilled Jess’s love of floral rings. The green and rose gold blossom is flanked by two diamond accents and leaves spring to life from the vining band.

6

Our next bride-to-be came to us with a clear brief — “timeless, unique, and bright orange!” And, boy, does this engagement ring deliver! We found a spectacular trillion cut orange sapphire to take center stage in this one-of-a-kind engagement ring. Allowing the sapphire to speak for itself, we set it in a classic pavé diamond twisted band.

7

Our final ring is inspired by the future bride’s love of nature and, naturally, we love it! The lavender amethyst center stone is boldly offset by the deep blue topaz accents, and the swirling band works a treat with the trillion cut center stone. A lush, leaf vine winds its way around the band and the center stone to round out this gorgeous engagement ring.
