This client wanted some very nice built in shelving around their fireplace. There was an existing mantle in place, but it would surely have looked drastically out of place next to the completed built in. I suggested a live edge slab mantle. They obliged. Very simply, straight forward design. Natural, rustic, yet incredibly beautiful.
