I built this custom designed painted maple dresser with exotic drawer and door fronts specifically for my clients' home. The design is based on one brought to me by my clients (one of whom is a talented interior designer) and then modified to get the details just right. The splash of color (no stain-all natural colors)comes from some beautiful woods-wenge, jatoba, curly maple, black walnut, quartersawn white oak, zebrawood and african mahogany. On that note-the african mahogany drawer front (lower right corner) will darken to a beautiful reddish amber color over time-it was brand new when these photos were taken.

The dresser is painted in a very durable gloss enamel finish over a high quality oil based primer to produce a finish that will hold up well with the use and abuse little kids dish out, and is easily touched up
just in case. The drawer fronts are hand finished in oil polyurethane to highlight the figure of the beautiful wood and provide maximum protection. The dresser features solid poplar dovetailed drawers
with hidden under mount ball bearing drawer slides with a nice soft-close feature. The cabinet door features hidden hinges with soft close as well-slam resistant features good for growing kids :)
