A few of our favorite music themed engagement rings

This article is part of our What's Your Inspiration series, where we explore the personal touches and sources of inspiration our customers bring to their engagement rings.

Music of your heart

If music isn’t the language of love, we don’t know what is. Love is by far the biggest inspiration for musicians of all genres, from classical to pop to rock. It comes as no surprise then that we’ve had many music-loving couples come to us, and we never tire of seeing their musical designs come to life. Our favorite engagement rings for musicians hit all the right notes.

1

Our first musical husband-to-be came to us with a clear vision: a curvy solitaire engagement ring with a subtle musical touch. Our designers came up with this gorgeous yellow gold and lab created sapphire beauty. The elaborately decorated band flows around the top and bottom of the deep blue stone, with surprise musical notes sitting on the side profile.

2

This customer asked that we design a ring around his soon-to-be fiancée’s birthstone: an eye-catching cushion cut blue zircon. Two trillion cut diamonds hug the center stone, leading the eye towards a heart-shaped skeleton key on one side of the band and a treble clef on the other. Music really is the key to the heart for this couple!

3

Our next ring in the lineup was designed to celebrate the bride-to-be’s Irish roots and her passion as a music therapist. A beautiful round lab created diamond sits at the center of this musical engagement ring, set in a dramatically tapered white gold band. The shoulders of the ring are adorned with a Celtic knot design that seamlessly incorporates a curling treble clef either side of the diamond.

4

We love peekaboo personalizations, especially ones inspired by a couple’s meet cute! These lovers came together playing trumpet in the marching band for the Rose Parade. Their engagement ring has a lab created center sapphire with diamond accent clusters on each side. We added subtle nods to their first meeting on the gallery profile: a trumpet on one side and a rose (also her favorite flower) on the other.

5

This creative husband-to-be came to us with his own design: a treble clef and bass clef joined together to create a heart. Our designers suggested turning the volume up a notch by adding a purple amethyst, adding a pop of his fiancée’s favorite color. What a way to represent the perfect harmony of this couple’s love!

6

Sometimes the most magical elements of a piece of music are the quieter, subtle notes. The muse behind this engagement ring played cello her whole life and was once part of a nationally touring bluegrass band. We represented her passion with a delicate cello hidden on the gallery, adding a personal touch to the simple yet elegant yellow gold setting, without pulling attention from the spectacular moss agate center stone and diamond accents.

7

Our final music-loving couple came to us with an emerald and diamond inspiration image and asked that we add a musical theme to the design. The future groom’s vision came together as a beautiful lab created emerald flanked by emerald cut diamond side stones. The tapered shoulders of the ring are engraved with treble clefs and musical notes rocking and rolling around the platinum band.
