There are not many artisans who can create a new peice and keep the integrity and quality of the style of Greene and Greene. Jason Holtz recreated a beautiful vanity, mirror and cabinet for our powder room that is a piece of art. Jason was in constant communication even while recovering from COVID. He was a joy to work with and i only wish he was closer so we could have him design my kitchen
This piece is tilted "At Last" because it took me years to figure out what this slab of walnut was to become. I had an idea for a couple years, and I got as far as building a small scale model. I liked it, and decided to proceed. Once I started cutting the slab, everything changed. It didn't want to be the straight, crisp, rectalinear piece I had in mind. There isn't a straight line left on it, and it is far better for it.
