Customer requested a bathroom Vanity with a unique style of molding on the doors, difficult to find from suppliers. A search of moldings found very little that could be purchased & used, coupled with a very high cost. The craftsman devised a method by which all of the arched moldings were made & installed on the doors. The moldings were glued & pin nailed to the doors very accurately, primed, and then given several coats of a satin black spray paint.
The 4 legs were turned on a lathe, sanded, and also sprayed with the same satin black paint to match. Also, 5/6" diameter x 1-1/2" long hanger bolts were installed on the large end of the legs. Matching metal plates were installed under each corner of the Vanity & the legs with the hanger bolts were tightly screwed into the center of the metal plates.
Customer is in the process of having the bathroom recovered with new wallboard & then the craftsman will install the Vanity & matching side trim. Customer is responsible for the countertop, sink, plumbing, and installation of same as these are not included in the cost of the Vanity. Special designs or instructions for a Vanity should be discussed with the craftsman before construction begins.
