This exquisite handcrafted pen was 7 years in the making. Only recently did I come across a piece of wood worthy of such a marriage where art joins functionality. The barrel of this pen is lathe turned from a stabilize blank of spalted Big Leaf Maple Burl. It has been sanded, polished and finished with 12 coats of hand rubbed lacquer. There will never be another exactly like this fountain pen.
