Black Walnut Square Winged Bowl And Oil Lamp
We are pleased to present a square winged bowl and oil lamp. Our oil lamp is turned from reclaimed black walnut and embellished with concentric rings on the top, bowl and lid interior. The lid has a turned "handle" that is finished with veining and a textured surface.
The oil candle insert is a disposable oil reservoir that burns for approximately 8 hours. You artfully decorated work comes with 2 oil reservoirs and additional units can be purchased from us directly.
The winged bowl is approximately 8" square and about 4" tall, weighs less than 8 ozs and is finished in a glossy lacquer.
Please note that we create our artful turnings from reclaimed wood from trees destined for the landfill in most cases. This black walnut blank has been air dried for over one year and is fully stable. You will notice in the bottom photograph that there may be small cracks and imperfections. This is a normal result of using live wood that naturally moves and sometimes cracks as it is dried and shaped. We feel these add to the charm and the handmade character of the piece and in no way impact the usefulness of the item.
