Black Walnut Stump Glass Coffee Table

This very unusual coffee table was commissioned for an exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madison, Wisconsin. The live edge stump rings of the table base come from a black walnut tree that grew with a split in its side. Over time, the tree rotted from the inside out leaving this very unusual shaped stump. We cut the stump into rings and set them at an angle using acrylic dowels. The glass top brings together a piece that is functional and gorgeous. Seize this opportunity to own a very unique piece that comes from the museum directly to your home.
