After receiving several design ideas from the customer and sitting down for a one-on-one consultation, the design for the Built-In Bookshelves was finalized. The design had to fit into the alcove space on either of side of a fireplace of new home construction.

Lower base cabinets with raised panel doors house a sound system, with all of the accompanying equipment and wiring. It was decided that there would be three (3) adjustable shelves per unit in the upper portion of the cabinet to display various personal items.

The customer's choice for style was for simple and clean lines, molding matched to existing molding, with an arched top piece & crown molding to match other design features of their new home.

The cabinets were constructed of a combination of birch & birch plywood, while the customer chose to prime & paint the completed bookshelves.
