Butcher Block Island Top End Grain Cherry
Book-matched cherry end grain top was custom built for two very special clients in Los Angeles in 2013.
They use it regularly as an active chopping/food prep surface. Here pictured over two years later, much darker from both oxidation (air) and UV exposure (sun), with a nice patina.
Measures just over 4' x 5' x 2" thick.
Only end grain constitutes a genuine heirloom-quality professional quality chopping surface that only appreciates in beauty and patina with age. Seasoned with my own Bee Good Wood Oil (with generous amounts of pure local beeswax).
