What a wonderful artist Michelle is! After meeting with us initially to better understand what we had in mind for the transom window, she prepared several artist drawings with suggested themes. Every one was a possibility that we could have been pleased with. With her talent it made it difficult to decide. We settled on one, then changed to another, and finally after incorporating elements from more than one, and with further changes and additions we finally settled on what has become a work of art in the 6' wide arched transom window above our 8' front doors. It incorporates elements of the family's heritage with a truly wonderful rondel at it's center.
This fused glass candle bridge is composed of two parts: the arch and the wind light. The bands of color are accented with dots of dichroic glass that call to mind the rise of the sun from the deepest ocean to its highest zenith. The title comes from a Hawaiian chant that calls the sun each day to complete its celestial journey.
It adds a burst of color to any table top, desk corner or shelf. The candle provides accent light. The approximate dimensions are: 8 1/4" L x 5" W x 4" H
